The Weits Annex was designed as a connected outbuilding to an existing Girdwood residence — a guest suite and studio space joined to the main house by a covered breezeway.
The bell tower is the project's signature element: a square timber frame structure rising 30 feet above grade, housing a manually operated bell that marks the hours during summer evenings.
The tower's structural timber joinery is exposed on all four exterior faces — a decision that makes the connection details visible and celebrates the precision of traditional timber framing in an outdoor environment.
