The Alpenglow Residences address one of Girdwood's persistent housing challenges: providing ownership-track units within walking distance of the resort village core at a density appropriate to the mountain town context.
Below-grade structured parking eliminates the surface parking lots that typically consume half a multi-family site's area, allowing the project to achieve 18 units on a footprint that would conventionally support 10.
The facade composition uses a combination of cedar siding, fiber cement panel, and standing-seam metal roof to create a material palette that references Girdwood's existing vernacular while reading as contemporary architecture.
